Good to know

Gift card questions.

Can it be used at any location?

Yes. A Higher Collective gift card works at all five shops: Bridgeport, Hamden, Killingly, New London and Torrington. It does not matter which one you ordered it from.

Why do I have to choose a shop when I order?

Because gift cards are collected in person. The shop you choose is simply where you pick the card up. It has no effect on where the card can be spent.

Can it be mailed or emailed?

Not currently. Gift cards are physical cards picked up in store. Ordering ahead just means it is paid for and waiting when you arrive.

Can I choose a custom amount?

Gift cards come in four set amounts: $25, $50, $100 and $200. If you need a different total, you can buy more than one card.

Does it expire?

No. Higher Collective gift cards do not expire and carry no inactivity fees, in line with Connecticut law.

Can I get change back?

If the remaining balance falls below $5 after a purchase, you can ask for the rest in cash. Otherwise the balance stays on the card.

What if I lose it?

Treat the card like cash. We may be able to help if you have the original purchase receipt, so hold onto it after you buy.

How do High Flier points work with gift cards?

Buying a gift card does not earn points. Points are earned when the card is spent on a qualifying purchase. Points also cannot be redeemed for gift cards.

Are taxes included?

The card carries the amount you paid for it. Cannabis taxes are added at checkout when the card is spent, so the balance will not cover quite as much as the sticker price of a product.

Who can use it?

Anyone 21 or older with a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID. ID is checked on every visit, including pickup.

Use at any Higher Collective location subject to current program terms. Not redeemable for cash except as required by law. Taxes are applied at checkout when the card is spent. High Flier points are not earned on gift card purchases and cannot be redeemed for gift cards. The gift card is the gift; cannabis products are chosen and purchased by the recipient in store.
